Developmental Screenings Overview

Whether a child has advanced skills, typical skills or delayed skills, Imprints developmental screenings provide information about his or her strengths and areas for growth. Developmental screenings help parents and caregivers know the areas in which a child excels, and some screenings provide the developmental age of a child. This assists parents as they choose daily activities that will both interest the child and strengthen his or her development.

Highly qualified and trained Imprints staff members provide screenings for children aged two months to five years using the Ages and Stages, Denver II, DIAL™ IV or AGS screening tools. A child development specialist will discuss the results with parents in detail after the screening. Through follow-up home visits they will work with families to suggest practical everyday activities and strategies to enhance language development, intellectual growth, social-emotional development and motor skills.

Screenings are offered in the comfort of your home; however, early education providers can also offer Imprints screenings to interested parents on-site at their preschool, childcare center or at Imprints.
